LEGACY 2000 . . . L2k . . . speaks for itself

“It’s easy to log college away in the back of your mind and think you’ll worry about it when you get there.

But things don’t work like that and Legacy 2000 forces you to be ready for the future.”

Jenna Richlie   Class of 2006

“It’s not so much that L2k is a class only for smart people, as it has created a class of smart people.”

Adam Woods   Class of 2006

“I thank the entire Legacy 2000 program for a life-lasting experience that has helped me to get a head start over other students.  I will take the skills and knowledge that this program has given me and use it throughout my life.”

Adrian Buckley   Class of 2006

“Life in the Springs is pretty good! And I would have to say it’s mostly because of the L2k program!

You guys rock my socks! I mean that, without L2k I wouldn’t have known where to start!  I owe L2k everything!

It has been the ticket to my success thus far!”

Ashley Roberts   Senior Class President Class of 2005 – currently attending Colorado University in Colorado Springs CO

“The various projects & presentations in L2k helped to alleviate any fear of public speaking I may have had and taught me a great deal about how to keep an audience interested while making sure they hear the information I am trying to present...Everyone in L2k came in with a vague idea about where their interests might lie, but participation in the class helped to flush out those ideas and focus them into a concrete goal for college and beyond. Overall, Legacy 2000 helped me to go into college with very real goals both for while I am in school and for where I want to go from here.”

Kate McGinnis  Class of 2003  -  currently attending Cornell University

“Our daughter began as a sophomore at LHS, in the inaugural year of the school. Kate excelled academically and we were looking for new challenges. Legacy 2000 was the answer to our search. Kate was able to find herself, concentrate on math and science skills with peers who really cared about school, and work on life lessons that would follow her through high school and into her college career at Cornell University. The L2k experience taught her people skills, how to approach situations logically with a realistic plan, and follow through capabilities, leading to achieving success. Kate had the opportunity to shadow in the real engineering world, what an opportunity! “
Her experiences were numerous and would not have been available, if not for L2k.

“Legacy 2000 is a unique and excellent program, equipping students with the skills they need for college and beyond - to the professional work force. Beside the educational value of dynamic educators, CP classes, and practical research on colleges and scholarships, students receive education in public speaking, interviewing, presentations and working with peers to prepare them for the professional world beyond college.  As parents, we are extremely pleased with the program and excited for the opportunities it has opened for our student.”
