Announcements for September 19, 2018

  • Seniors: Colorado State University will be here Thursday the 20th. Please come by and get your College Visit Pass for the college you are interested in. The College Visit Schedule can be found in Counseling. Students are responsible for all make up work in class due to a college visit. Students need to check with their teacher in advance of the visit. If you are unable to miss class, please let Mr. Paul know so she may request materials and contact information from the college representative.
  • Hey Legacy. Are you interested in finding out about careers in Aviation? If so, there is a FREE field trip on Friday September 28 to Aviation Day 2018 at DIA. If you wish to attend, see Mr. Godman in B204 for a permission slip. There are only 25 seats remaining.
  • Congratulations to the boys soccer team for its wonderful performance last night. They beat Fossil Ridge 7-2 to extend its season opening win streak to 6 wins, a new program record. The boys would like to thank the fans for their wonderful support. The next game is tomorrow at North Stadium at 6pm against Mountain Range. This game will be the annual Chris Reagan Memorial game so fans are asked to wear orange. Come out and support the Lightning!
  • Any and All Girls Soccer Players. There is a program meeting TODAY at 12:45 in the Auditorium. If you cannot make it, please reach out to the coaching staff to make sure you're added to the email list for the meeting follow up. Again, 12:45 in the auditorium for all girls soccer players!
  • Attention All Boys Basketball Players. Open Gym today is cancelled due to parent teacher conferences. Please communicate with each other and your parents. Open gym is cancelled until next Monday.
  • Girls are you interested in playing Lacrosse? Their will be an informational meeting on 9/26 in the commons at 12:30.
  • Scrubs club will be meeting again on Sept. 25 at 3:05-4 pm in B104. We will begin designing our Trick or Treat booth. New members are always welcome to join us.
  • Junior Class Leadership will be hosting a movie night THIS Friday, September 21st at 6:30. We will be showing Moana and for $3 you can get unlimited pop corn and a bottle of water. Join us in l

    Augustana College, in Rock Island, Illinois will be presenting an information session in Art Club Tuesday, September 25th. Representative Mark Roth will share information on the Visual Art Department and tips for your portfolio submission.
    Please stop by art room F-211 Tuesday, Sept. 25th to meet Mark and find out about Augustan College.
  • Attention Model United Nations: We will meet after Academic Support this Thursday in the LMC. Please check your Groupme messages or see Ms. Snyder in A218 for further information.
  • Do you love Pizza? Blaze Pizza is hosting a fundraiser for Legacy FCCLA this Thursday night from 5-9pm. Stop in and order some delicious pizza. Mention you are supporting Legacy and a portion of your purchase will go to help our club!
  • The following schools will be at Legacy next week. Please see the counseling secretary for a pass to attend. You are responsible for all work missed in class when attending a college visit.   • Legacy has some very exciting news! We had 2 students who qualified as semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Competition! Out of 1.6 million students who entered, only 1% qualified to be a semifinalist! If you see Tycho Cinquini or Rae Winker, please congratulate them!

    Ms. Rowinski will be offering a trip to Europe June of 2019. Come to an informational meeting Tuesday, September 18 in F-201 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM to learn about this exciting travel event.

National Portfolio Days are coming Saturday, September 22

What: Denver National Portfolio Day (NPD)

Student Check In 9:30 a.m.

Portfolio Reviews 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

On September 22nd, 2018, RMCAD will continue tradition by hosting the Denver National Portfolio Day (NPD) on its campus. At this event, area students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from a variety of NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design) accredited colleges to discuss and review artwork. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. Reviews will be held from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m

  • Attention Student Drivers - Please move your cars by 3:15 from the Northwest portion of the Student parking lot so that the marching band can practice. Cars not moved by 3:30 will be towed and students will be responsible for the charges. As an alternative, please park in the Southwest portion of the student parking lot each day.
