Financial Aid

The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is a trust fund created by the Colorado Legislature that provides a tuition stipend to eligible undergraduate students. The stipend pays a portion of the student's total in-state tuition when they attend a participating college.

While most students will want to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), some will need to complete the Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA) instead. This is dependent on the student's citizenship status. See this guide from the Colorado Department of Higher Education for more information.

These applications are used to determine student eligibility for grants, loans, and work study programs. Some scholarships also require FAFSA completion -- even if a family believes they will not qualify for any federal student aid. There are a plethora of ways to find scholarships to pay for your future education. Scholarships tend to be based on merit, need, or both and can be offered directly through your institution or independently. Start your search early and use your school counselor as a resources!
