Technical Colleges, Trade Schools, & Apprenticeships
Career & Technical Education (CTE) combines academic knowledge with occupational skills to prepare them for a future career. Students attend technical colleges, trade schools, or apprenticeship programs to earn certificates or degrees and qualify for entry into the field. These programs limit students debt while offering competitive pay to those occupations requiring bachelor's degrees.
While many students interested in CTE will enroll in classes through FutureForward (Bollman, Washington Square, and even here at Legacy) to jump-start their career, these opportunities are commonly accessed after high school. Many community colleges offer these programs.
