Ms. Bynarowicz is an English teacher at Legacy High School, where she has taught since 2002. Currently in her 26th year of teaching high school English, Ms. Bynarowicz's schedule at Legacy includes AP English Literature and Composition, Advanced World Studies, and Capstone: Big Idea Project's Generous Leadership Challenge. As a National Board Certified Teacher in English/Language Arts, she was recognized as an Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars. Furthermore, she was celebrated as one of the NSHSS TOP TEN CLAES NOBEL EDUCATORS OF THE YEAR for 2012. In addition, Ms. Bynarowicz was honored by The Boettcher Foundation in 2014 and 2020 as part of their Teacher Recognition Awards Program. The program allows each recipient of the Boettcher Foundation Scholarship to acknowledge the teacher who has impacted them the most. Finally, Ms. Bynarowicz has also worked closely with the College Board for the past eleven years as an AP Reader for the English Literature and Composition exam, which includes leadership positions for the past seven years. As an International AP Mentor, Mrs. Bynarowicz actively works with AP teachers in both the US and abroad to support them in their teaching of AP Literature.
