Carrie Medlock was born and raised in San Diego, California. When she graduated from High School she moved to Los Angeles where she attended Azusa Pacific University and graduated as the top International Business Student. After college she spent a few years in the business world while she earned her Masters in Business Administration (MBA). In 2000, she and her husband moved to Colorado. At that time she decided to pursue her dream of teaching. Soon after becoming a high school Business and Marketing teacher, she earned a second Masters in Education. From 2008-2010 she reached beyond the high school level and taught Business and Marketing for Colorado Christian University and Front Range Community College. Carrie still teaches for Front Range Community College within the College Now Program at Legacy High School.
On the home front, Carrie is married to a wonderful man, Casey who is also in the field of education. They have two boys, Sean and Blake, who enjoy filling their time with all kinds of sports!
During her twenties, and before kids, Carrie spent a lot of time traveling the world. She has traveled to thirty-seven international countries in Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Bahamas, Carribean, and many more regions of the world. She was fortunate enough to live in Japan, the Netherlands, and Norway.
Carrie's academic philosophy includes commitment, continual education, and integrity. She feels that, as an educator, her commitment to Adams 12 School District, Legacy High School, the community, and the student, is her job. It is vital that she invest her time in educating herself in the ever changing world of business. Such concepts can be implemented into course assignments and discussions. Continuous learning is important no matter what walk of life you are in. As she always tells her students, “Take your head out of the book and put it outside. Business is all around you!”
