Mr. Warner began teaching at Legacy in 2001. Previously, he taught for three years at Vikan Middle School in Brighton, Colorado. He also taught for one year at Nederland Middle / High School in Nederland, Colorado. He is a National Board Certified Teacher in English and a regular presenter on technology integration at the Colorado Council of the International Reading Association, the Colorado Language Arts Society, and other conferences in the area. He has written podcast scripts for TED-ED and, most recently, received the Best Should Teach Award from the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a finalist for the Teacher of the Year for the state of Colorado. Mr. Warner currently teaches in the English department and has two sections of English 9 and one section of Literature to Film, although he retains his certifications in social science, English as a second language, and school administration. He also serves as the Student Teacher Coordinator for the English and Social Science Departments and the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Legacy.
