Cindy is a Colorado native who after finishing her bachelor's degree in Communications Disorders and Speech Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she got her Master's degree from Boston University in Deaf Education. She has been involved with Deaf Education since 1987. She worked at a private school for the Deaf in Massachusetts, The Learning Center for Deaf Children, in the middle school for 6 years.
Cindy then moved back to Colorado and started her family. She has been married for 28 years to her husband who is an Electrical Engineer. She has a son who works for the Department of Justice as a Bankruptcy lawyer in Cincinnati and a daughter who is a living in LA and working in the Film industry.
Cindy taught in Jefferson County at Jefferson High School for 6 years in the Deaf Ed department.She then moved north and taught American Sign Language in two Boulder Valley Schools for 2 years.
She is thrilled to be back here at Legacy for her tenth year working as a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with great teachers and interpreters.
