After receiving her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Louisiana State University, Ms. Cox began her professional life in the United States Air Force as an Acquisition Project Officer for the F-16 and several satellite programs. Her master's degree is in Systems Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. She has also worked as an Admissions Officer for the Air Force Academy and still enjoys mentoring high school students that want to go to the Academy or join an R.O.T.C program as a college student. After the Air Force Ms. Cox designed many corporate training programs—that is, teaching adults how to do their job better. It’s here that she discovered how much she likes being in the classroom. In 2009 she began her third career, teaching at Montbello High School in Denver. Ms.Cox came to Legacy's Math Department in 2011. In addition to her teaching role, Ms. Cox is our Legacy School Wellness Co-Leader, spearheading initiatives such as the installation of our ELKAY Water Stations. Her personal interests include gardening, art, and travel, but she will also be found leading women's ministry events or talking on the benefits of essential oils. Ms. Cox is married and has five grown children.
