My name is Reina Hasund and I am pleased to be an Interpreter at Legacy High School! I have four children, three older boys and an only daughter. I was born in Northern California but raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I began learning sign language from the Deaf Community in Anchorage, Alaska and started taking classes at the college to develop fluency. During those years, I worked in residential homes for Deaf students attending school in Anchorage. After my own children began school, I decided to pursue Interpreting. In 2008, I enrolled in the Interpreter Preparation Program at Front Range Community College. I graduated in 2010 and have made Colorado my home. I have traveled, mostly in the Pacific North-West of the US. I enjoy outdoor activities and hold a second degree brown belt in Judo. I believe in fostering a volunteer spirit because life is a journey and it's great to be here at Legacy. I am glad to be a part of the DHH Team!
