
Mrs. Marx helped open Legacy High School in the fall of 2000 as a Math, Science, and Legacy 2000 teacher. She spent many years in the classroom, before moving into an administrative role in 2014. Mrs. Marx became the principal of Legacy in 2016. Mrs. Marx deeply enjoyed her time in the classroom; having the opportunity to talk about math and physics everyday. While teaching, Mrs. Marx was also a class leadership sponsor and attended many Legacy events; cheering on and supporting our amazing students.
Mrs. Marx earned her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Illinois University in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Mathematics and Physics. She taught math for three years at Plainfield High School in Plainfield, IL, before moving to Colorado in 2000. She went on to earn a Masters in Education: Administration & Supervision from the Unversity of Phoenix. Mrs. Marx is a member of the Adams 12 community; having 2 children who attend school in Adams 12.
When Mrs. Marx decided to pursue a career in Education Administration, she knew that Legacy was where she wanted to continue her career. As her motto in the 2017-18 yearbook states, "Navy and Gold, Through and Through." Mrs. Marx takes great pride in the Legacy students and staff and the many traditions that have been established at Legacy High School. As Principal, Mrs. Marx now enjoys serving the larger Legacy community; having the opportunity to impact the school system and community as a whole.
