Mr. Romano grew up in many places including New Hampshire, Illinois, Iowa, Rhode Island, and Texas. He received his first Bachellor's degrees in Psychology and Mathematics from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He also received his first Master's degree in Teaching from Trinity before beginning his teaching career. After moving back to Illinois to continue teaching, he eventually left to realize his lifelong goal of moving to the mountains of Colorado. He arrived to Colorado and Legacy in 2005 and earned his second Master's degree in School Counseling in 2008 from the University of Phoenix.
Mr. Romano wears many hats. He was a former high school mathematics teacher for eleven years, including three years at Legacy (2005-2008). He is in his tenth year as a counselor at Legacy (2008-present). He has also been coaching soccer at Legacy since 2005, and has been the head boys soccer coach since 2009. He served as the counseling department Academic Coordinator from 2011-2015 and has been serving as the school's Advanced Placement Coordinator since 2015.
Mr. Romano is married and has a 10 year old son. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as living a very active outdoor lifestyle. He is most passionate about rock climbing and travelling. He visited all 50 states by the time he was 26 years old, has completed an Ironman triathlon, and is currently working on sending his first 5.13 rock climb. Most importantly, he believes that in school as in life, ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!!!
